Getting started

Pick your age when you open the app and Pianova tailors a learning track for you. Tap a course, then a lesson, and follow the notes as they light up. Your stars and progress save automatically.

Playing with a real piano or keyboard

Pianova listens through your microphone to detect the notes you play on an acoustic or digital piano — no cables needed. Prefer MIDI? Connect a MIDI keyboard and Pianova will use it automatically. You can toggle the microphone in Settings → Listen with microphone, or just use the on-screen keys.

Profiles for the family

Add a profile for each family member from the side menu. Every profile keeps its own progress, favorites, and learning track, and switching is instant. When you’re signed in, profiles sync across your devices.

Managing your subscription

Pianova Premium unlocks every course and the full song library. To view, change, or cancel your plan, open your device’s Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. If you already subscribed on another device, tap Restore purchases in the app.

Troubleshooting

• The app isn’t hearing my piano — make sure microphone access is allowed (Settings → Pianova), reduce background noise, and place the device near the piano.
• A lesson has no narration — most tips are written on screen; only some early lessons include a recorded voice. Look for the lightbulb (a written tip) versus the speaker (audio).
• My progress didn’t sync — check your internet connection and that you’re signed in to the same account.
